Beverage Mix Ideas
Blended Cocoa Mix - Add 1/4 cup of Cocoa mix to 6 to 8 ounces hot milk, depending on taste.  Cozy up to the fire with a good book and enjoy!

Grandma's Orange Spiced Tea -
Mix 3 to 4 tablespoons of mix with 1 cup hot water.  Stir with cinnamon stick.  May also be mixes with cold water and ice for a cool, refreshing summer time drink.  Adjust to taste.  


Soup & Salad Recipes
 
Chicken Noodle Soup Mix- Empty contents of bag into a 4-quart saucepan.  Add 8 cups water.  Heat to boiling.  Reduce heat to medium and add 2 cooked and cubed
chicken breasts, or 1-12 ounce can of cooked chicken.  Cover and simmer for 5-6 minutes, stiffing occasionally, until noodles are tender. 


Garden Pasta Salad

Bring a large pot of water with 1-teaspoon oil to a boil over high heat.  Add the pasta and cook until al dente, about 7 minutes. Remove from heat, rinse under cold water, and drain. Mix 1/4 cup olive oil and 1/4 cup salad vinegar together with spice packet.  Add a 4 oz can of tomato sauce and the drained pasta.   Add 3-4 diced roma tomatoes, 1 small red onions, diced, and 4 oz can of sliced olives.  Toss well.  Serve cold with Parmesan cheese and garlic chips.

Wholesome Potato Soup Mix - For Individual Serving: Place 1/2 cup soup mix into a coffee  mug.  Add 1  cup water, stir well.  Microwave on high 1 & 1/2 min.  Stir; cover and let stand 3 minutes.  To Serve Four:  Add 4 cups of boiling water to soup mix.  Stir very well.  Cover and let stand 6 minutes.  May add cooked potato chunks or bite sized bacon pieces. 

Sweet Recipes
Carmel Vanilla Fruit Dip Mix - Place the contents of the mix in medium bowl.  Add 4 ounces  cream cheese and mix well on low speed.  Add 4 ounces sour cream.  Add 1/2 cup water & 1 tsp. vanilla, mix until smooth.  Serve with apples, strawberries, or cookies.  

Chocolate Mud Cake Mix -      Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.  Melt chocolate chips packet and 2 Tbsp butter in microwave.  Add Bag #2, 1/3 cup milk, 1 tsp. vanilla, and 1 egg yolk to melted chocolate, mixing well.  Add Bag #3 to mixture.  Pour batter into slow cooker.  Spread evenly.  Whisk together contents of Bag #4 and 1 cup hot water.  Stir until sugar is dissolved.  Pour over batter in slow cooker.  Do not stir.  Cover and cook on high 2 hours.  The cake will be very moist and floating on a layer of molten chocolate.  Turn off slow cooker and remove lid.  Let cool for 25 minutes before spooning into individual bowls.  Serve topped with vanilla ice ream or frozen yogurt and chocolate syrup.  

Smores Cookie Bar Mix - Pour 1 stick melted butter & 1 tsp. vanilla over contents of mix in medium bowl.  Stir well.  Place in greased 9x9 pan.  Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.  Best enjoyed while warm.  For faster smores, after mixing, place in microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute.  Stir well after microwaving and pour into 9x9 pan.  Reheat in microwave if necessary.

Snickerdoodle Cookie Mix - In large mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup butter, softened and 2 eggs.  Pour in the bag of mix and stir until dough forms.  Roll dough into 1" balls.  Roll the balls in the enclosed cinnamon-sugar packet.  Bake on un-greased cookie sheet at 350 for 10-15 minutes, or until light brown.  Yield - 2-3 dozen cookies.



Spice Blend Recipes

Chili Mix
- In a three quart crock pot, add 1 can chicken broth and contents of seasoning packet.  Stir in 1-14 oz. can diced tomatoes, 1-10 oz. can Mexi-corn, and 1-15 oz. can of red kidney beans.  Add 1 lb cooked chicken or ground beef.  Cook in crock pot on low for 4-6 hours.  Serve with crackers, sour cream, or cheese toppings.   

Fiesta Dip - In a medium mixing bowl, combine packet with 1 cup mayo and 1 cup sour cream.  Do not use Miracle Whip.  Mix until smooth.  Refrigerate for 2 hours.  Add green onions & black olives if desired.  Serve with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or as a topping for baked  potatoes, egg rolls, your favorite sandwich, or in place of  sour cream on tacos.  
 

Mediterranean Garlic Mix - 
Add packet to 1 cup sour cream and 1 cup  mayonnaise.  Stir well, refrigerate at least 2 hours.  Mediterranean Spread - Mix seasoning packet with 1 cup of butter or margarine that has been softened to room temp.  Spread evenly on bread and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, or until heated thoroughly.  

Red Ranch Mix - 
For Dip - Add 1 Tbsp mix to 8 oz. of sour cream.  Mix well.  Chill for at least 1 hour, or overnight.  For Salad Dressing - Add 1 Tbsp of mix to 3/4 cup mayo.  When blended, add 1-1/4 cup of buttermilk.  Chill 2 hours, or overnight.  

Salsa Mix - 
In a small bowl, combine packet with 1-14oz. can of diced tomatoes.  Stir until blended, chill overnight.  Serve with tortilla chips.  Salsa Spread - Mix with 8 ounces softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup diced tomatoes.  Serve with crackers.

Bread Recipes
Belgium Waffle Mix - Place mix in a large bowl.  Set aside. 
Pre-heat waffle iron.  In medium bowl, beat 2 eggs.  Stir in 1 1/2 cups milk, 1/3 cup melted butter, and 1 tsp. vanilla.  Pour the milk mixture into the waffle mix, beat until blended.  Ladle the batter into waffle preheated iron.  Cook until crisp and golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes.  Place on plate lined with paper towel, allow to sit for one minute, serve immediately. 

Cherry Raisin Bread Mix -
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat 2 eggs slightly in large bowl.  Beat in 1/2 cup oil, 3/4 cup milk, and 1 tsp almond flavoring.  Pour bread mix into batter, stirring only to  moisten.  Spoon into greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.  Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.  

Cinnamon Pancake Mix- Combine 1 & 1/3 cups pancake mix, 1 egg, 1 cup milk, and 2 tsp. oil.  Stir just until moist.  Cook on a lightly greased griddle.  Yield - 8-4 inch pancakes per batch.  Two & a half batches per 16 ounce.  


Honey Wheat Bread Mix - Place mix in bowl. Make a "well" in the middle of the mix. Pour 3/4 cup warm water into this "well," then add 1 Tbsp. softened butter and 1/4 cup honey. Slowly mix with spoon. Begin to knead the dough thoroughly for ten minutes, until it is very smooth. Set the dough into a covered bowl in a warm place for an hour, allow it to rise. When the dough has risen to double in size, punch it down and divide it into 4 even portions. Form the portions into tubular shaped loaves about 8" long and 2" wide. Sprinkle the entire surface of the loaves with cornmeal and place on a cookie sheet. Cover the cookie sheet with plastic wrap and let the dough rise again for one hour. Preheat the oven to 350* degrees. Uncover the dough and bake it for 20-24 minutes.  Loaves should begin to darken slightly on top when done. Serve warm with whipped butter. Just use an electric mixer on high speed to whip 1 stick of butter until it's fluffy.

Lemon Poppy Seed Bread Mix - Pour contents of bag into mixing bowl.  Add 1/2 cup water, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup oil, & 1 tsp. lemon extract.  Beat at medium for 2 minutes.  Pour into a greased 8 inch loaf pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. 

Parmesan Herb Bread Mix - Preheat oven to 350. Grease large cookie sheet. Mix together 1 cup sour cream, 3 Tbsp. melted butter, 1 egg, 1 egg white, and 1/2 cup milk, reserving 2 Tbsp. egg white. Add to dry mix, mix until moist. Knead in bowl. Divide in half. Shape each half into 5-inch round loaf.  Place each loaf on opposite corners of cookie sheet. Brush tops with egg white. Sprinkle with the Herb packet. Bake 35-40 minutes. 

Soft Pretzel Mix - Place 1 & 1/2 cups warm water in a large mixing bowl.  Add pretzel mix and knead until smooth.  Let rise one hour.  Prepare baking soda water bath with 2 Tbsp baking soda and 2 cups warm water.  After dough has risen, pinch off bits off bits of dough and roll into long rope,  1/3 - 1/2 inch thick. Shape into pretzel, or cut into bite sized pieces. Dip into stirred bath and place on greased baking sheet.  Bake at 450 for  8 - 10 minutes.  Brush with 4 Tbsp. melted butter, and sprinkle enclosed salt packet over, or dip in cinnamon and sugar, or Parmesan Cheese.  

Spiced Pumpkin Bread Mix - Preheat oven to 350* F. Grease 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.  Blend in 1 can pumpkin, 1/2 cup evaporated milk, 1 egg, 1 egg white and 1 Tbsp. oil in large mixer bowl. Add contents of bag; mix just until moistened.  Pour into prepared loaf pan; sprinkle with nuts if desired.  Bake for 60 to 65 minutes  or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely.

Traditional Beer Bread Mix

In a large bowl, add 1-12 oz. beer and mix well, using a wooden spoon. Batter will  be sticky. Pour into a 9 x 5 greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Pour 1/2 stick melted butter over the top of the bread. Bake for 15 minutes. Pour remaining 1/2 stick butter over top.  Bake for 15 more minutes.  The top will be crunchy, and the insides will be soft.  May substitute sparkling cider or any carbonated beverage.
