Pre-Party Plan
 Make a list of every item you'll need – blankets, coolers, chairs, condiments, trash bags, paper products. Don't leave anything out. Check each item off as you pack.

Make your area Festive
by flying your team's pennant and wearing team colors. Keep hot foods hot by using the proper serve-and-store containers. Keep cold foods cold within safe temperatures. When grilling, be kind to your neighbors and watch where the smoke goes. Serve the meal at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours before game time so there's plenty of time to eat, clean up and get into the stadium on time.

Do as much Food Preparation as Possible in Advance
Use separate plastic storage bags for wet items (marinades, sauces) and dry items, then mix the ingredients after you get there. Arrive three to four hours early to get a good spot, preferably next to an open or grassy area where you can sit and eat comfortably.

Post Game Activities
Plan on staying about 1 to 2 hours after the game. You can enjoy a quick snack or dessert while the parking lot clears out. Leave the area clean. Use paper towels, baby wipes and trash bags, then dispose of all trash properly. Drive home safely. Start planning the next tailgate party.
